Aarhus University

Aarhus University – a top 100 university worldwide, excels in business and engineering disciplines and pays particular attention to company collaborations. In 2018, more than 500 students were involved in company projects in more than 250 companies ranging from SMEs to leading globals. Aarhus University incubator Business Factory launches around 15 new businesses every year. Many research projects are conducted in close collaboration with industry on the basis of new data and new technologies. These projects are generously supported by H2020, the Danish Research Council and the Danish Industry Foundation, among others.

Aarhus University brings required experience and competencies in the field of NGI, which is a cornerstone aspect of the NGI-POINTER unique value proposition, and it has a long and solid tradition for interaction and knowledge exchange with private companies and public institutions in the field of computer science.

Funding Box Accelerator

FundingBox Accelerator is a non-profit private entity supporting, promoting and launching technological & innovative ‘scale-ups’ (startups and tech SMEs) initiatives in Europe. Funding Box is a partner and coordinator in 17 ongoing FSTP projects across Europe in which there is exposure to more than 17,500 entrepreneurs and 800 investors that have been reached to support Startups and SMEs through the more than 25 FSTP Open Calls managed by FBA since 2013.

The strategic positioning of Funding Box Accelerator in the European ecosystem is due to the synergies and intensive interchange of knowledge and experiences by belonging to ‘The FundingBox Group’. A group which integrates enterprises from Denmark, Spain and Poland, fostering the mainstreaming and interchange of innovative initiatives between countries.

digital worx GmbH

digital worx GmbH focuses on innovative business modelling and software innovations in the Internet of Things (IoT). The company has a strong focus on the industrial customer (B2B), serving IoT solutions for industrial enterprises as well as industrial SME. digital worx was ranked in 2014 as top 30 European Company by European Investors Gate (EIG, IBM, Google and Microsoft). In 2015 the Company is selected on the FIWARE Accelerator Program of the European Commission for rapid prototyping of mobile applications in the Internet of Things. In 2016 the company got awarded as one of the leading innovative Industry 4.0 solution providers by the German Alliance Industrie 4.0. Also in 2016 digital worx started to provide a contribution on Large Scale Demonstrator IoT Platform in HORIZON 2020 Consortium KATANA. Since 2018 the company is working on new secure search methods for the Internet of Things in the HORIZON2020 Consortium IoTCrawler.

digital worx’y main role in this project will be providing technical mentorship for technology readiness to the beneficiaries of the program. The main activity related to this support will be to help the NGI Architects to audit the technology and prepare it for standardization.

Linknovate

Linknovate provides business intelligence software tools to identify emerging technologies, markets and the key players behind them. Linknovate will provide proactivity in the approach to identify,
invite and engage the future NGI architects. LINK brings the power of Big Data Analytics technology for discovering potential NGI Architects and experts in the technology areas prioritized by the project. This is a unique asset of the consortium that helps to go beyond the traditional techniques for identifying outstanding candidates.
